What a wonderful greeting I received from Nema. He met me holding up a big picture of me along with a heart shaped bouquet of flowers. The best part was the warm smile and big hug. After checking into the hotel, we went by motorcycle (and a fine motorcycle it is). Nema is so proud. This was an exciting experience for me. I hadn’t been on a motorcycle in at least 40 years. There are no words to express the joy I felt in meeting each child and the incredible staff. Rainbow House is a blessed place. What a party we had. I closed my eyes and the children waited and Nema’s wife came in with a cake and candles. Then all the children sang to me. Every part of me cried with joy and happiness. After blowing out the candles the children presented me with welcome scarf’s and kisses.

Nema and the staff gave me a beautiful bright colored shawl. Then the feast fresh vegetables, mounds of rice, grapes, soup. All this for me. This is not their normal meal. It was a feast. Then Mr. Toads Wild Ride back to my warm hotel. I feel a little guilty. Daniel and Kim you are truly loved. You have helped to create the most beautiful family that honors you. Your picture, Daniel, was pointed out to me. And Kim, Suny’s face glowed when I told her how much you loved her. We had such a great time. I wish I could reach out and hug you both. I am working on becoming the new Grandma to the children. It will be so hard to leave here.
