Sharan House

Sharan House: Each year an estimated one million children are trafficked and sold into prostitution worldwide. Nepal is no exception to the sexual exploitation of children.

Thousands from Nepal are sold by parents and villager into the sex slave trade. Some fortunate enough to survive exile in neighboring countries return home infected with HIV/AIDS. The Sharan House began in response to a crying need of one survivor dying of AIDS needing a safe place to live out the remainder of her tearful and tragic life.

AIDS has killed more than 25 million people since 1981. Every minute there are at lest 10 newly infected people worldwide with AIDS. The primary focus of the Sharon House is to liberate girls and women from forced prostitution and teach them vital skills to earn a living outside the sex slave industry. The Sharan House provides a safe haven, food, physical, medical, emotional and spiritual care for women infected with HIV/AIDS and their children. The women and children are taught to read and write and schooled in mathematics. Your financial gift helps free and educate women and children from the tragedy of sexual exploitation and provide medical care to treat those infected with HIV/AIDS.
